2024 NJDTE CHILDREN'S SHOW                                        SPRING DANCE

NJDTE invites you to join us for our 55th Anniversary Season at The Memorial Auditorium, Montclair State University. The event will be 1hr 20 minutes (no intermission).      

The CHILDREN'S SHOW program will feature our youngest dancers ages 4-12 years old.  Each class will perform short works in their genra of classical ballet and modern. The Ensemble dancers will perform exerpts from Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Etude & Requiem for a Future Passing staged by Associate Artistic Director Alexandra Gonzalez & Artistic Director Nancy Turano.  The program will feature 140 talented pre-professional NJDTE dancers.

Sunday, May 5th, 2024 / 12PM Performance/ 1hr 20 mins lenght

• Bring Ticket Receipt to theater for entry


• Recommended for ages 3 to Adult

WHERE: Memorial Auditorium, @ Montclair State University (1 E Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07043)

PARKING:

• Red Hawk Parking Lot MSU – Top Floor


• Park on top floor exit in back near soccer fields, make right toward Memorial Auditorium near Dance Bldg.


• Parking Ticket can be paid in lobby starting 1hr before show or upon exit of parking lot.


• Parking deck requires an 8 min walk to theatre

There are No transfer or exchange of tickets once purchased.

2024 BALLI DI PRIMAVERA

NJDTE invites you to join us for our 55th Anniversary of our BALLI DI PRIMAVERA at The Memorial Auditorium, Montclair State University. The program will be 90 minutes including a 15-minute intermission. The program will feature Classical works Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty (excerpt) and Etude staged by Associate Artistic Director Alexandra Gonzalez & Artistic Director Nancy Turano. Also included premiere by choreographer Henry Steele (NJDTE Faculty & former dancer Rehearsal Director of Parsons Dance) and Stuck by Eoghan Dillon (formerly Dancer & Rehearsal Director of Parsons Dance), Talk to Her, by Jean Emile, Requiem for a Future Passing by Fabrice Lamego and Departures by Artistic Director, Nancy Turano. The program will feature 51 talented pre-professional NJDTE dancers.

New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble provides tuition-based scholarships in the name of NJDTE’s founding Artistic Director, Alfredo Corvino. These scholarships are both a source of financial assistance and a special recognition of the talent, excellence and commitment, evident in the aspiring dancers who receive the scholarship. 

New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble’s mission is to provide artistic excellence in pre-professional dance education, with forward-thinking programming that empowers dancers. For over 54 years, NJDTE continues to be an innovative force in the NJ and NYC Metro area by engaging acclaimed artists, international choreographers and providing performance opportunities. NJDTE mentors and inspires dancers toward higher education and supports its alumni as professionals in the field.
